“Outside the college I did a technical course doing rigging. I did three months of work experience at White Light – a company which provides lighting equipment and consultation across both the events and arts industries. I also do casual work at The Cliffs Pavilion Palace Theatre in Southend.”
Hannah chose to study at the National College Creative Industries as the course offering widens students’ skills in the industry through hands-on training in a purpose-built setting – The Backstage Centre.
She added: “The fact that the building we are located in is The Backstage Centre is amazing. It is a massive open area where I can improve my skills and widen my knowledge as a rigger.
“After leaving the college I will be looking for work at the UK's large arenas as a rigger. Further on in the future I hope to become head rigger for a touring company.”
