NCCI is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
We have a number of policies and procedures in place that contribute to our safeguarding commitment, including our Safeguarding Policy, which can be viewed in the Policies section of our website. The college works with the Local Authority to ensure safeguarding practices are upheld and that our pupils are in a safe, stimulating and supportive environment. Practices are reviewed regularly to ensure safeguarding remains effective.
All staff have annual training in Safeguarding during the academic year, as well as specific training during the college year. We have Designated Safeguarding Leads who regularly monitor and discuss safeguarding issues. The team consists of the following staff:
- Luke Holland (Pastoral & Welfare Lead)
- Elaine Kelt (Vice Principal Curriculum & Quality)
If you require support or have a concern in relation to the welfare of a student, you can speak with either of the above members of staff - email them at firstname.lastname@example.org.
At NCCI we actively safeguard our learners through the curriculum and promote British values and PDBW in our practices.
