Apprenticeship Incentives - Extended until 31/1/22

There are a number of financial incentives on offer to employers who are recruiting and training apprentices. These incentives have been increased and extended in 2021.

An incentive payment of £1000 is available to any employer taking on an apprentice aged 16-18 (or aged 19-24 with an Education Health and Care plan or care leaver). Payments are made via the training provider and passed on to the employer: £500 after month three and £500 after month twelve.

In addition to this incentive, the Government has announced extended and increased incentive payments to encourage job creation following the Coronavirus crisis. Until 31 January 2022, employers who are recruiting can benefit from an additional incentive payment of £3,000 per apprentice, irrespective of their age.
