Governance

The National College Creative Industries was established as a Further Education Corporation under the Further and Higher Education Act 1992 and became incorporated on 1st September 2016. 

On 31 January 2020, The National College Creative Industries Further Education Corporation was replaced by NCCI Ltd, a joint venture Company Limited by Guarantee, set up by our key partners, Access Creative College and South Essex College. The objects of NCCI Ltd are the promotion of education and training for the creative and cultural industries, nationally throughout the United Kingdom.  The Company will fulfil these objects through:

2.1.1 the issue of licenses to approved providers for the delivery of primarily advanced and higher-level education and training for the creative and cultural industries to an agreed set of standards;

2.1.2 supporting the design of new licensed courses and standards with employers and lead bodies to grow the range of provision available; and

2.1.3 bringing together delivery partners to support high quality and innovative education and training for the creative and cultural industries

NCCI Ltd is governed by Articles of Association and is overseen by a Board of Directors comprising employers from the creative industries, representatives of the founding partners and former governors from the National College Creative Industries. Our first Directors are:

  • Angela O’Donoghue:   Principal and Chief Executive,  South Essex College
  • John Taylor:  Managing Director,  Access Creative College
  • Bryan Raven:  Managing Director,  White Light
  • Alex Fowles:   Director of Finance,  Power to Change Trust
