Backstage Crew covers a multitude of different roles, including:

• Set Designers and Builders – creating, building and repairing props and scenery
• Stage Technicians – operating light and soundboards, loading and unloading scenery, stage management and assisting with the production
• Maintenance Technicians – managing, maintaining and repairing the technical aspects of the performance
• Costume Designers, Tailors and Textile Operatives – managing the wardrobe, and creating, maintaining and repairing costumes

Working with creative industry partners, The National College Creative Industries has developed a series of frameworks designed to provide a clear path to a successful backstage role.
