Apprentice Sam finds his 'second home' at Cambridge Junction

Sam Harry started working at live music and arts venue, Cambridge Junction, in autumn 2018 as a casual member on the Events Team. He enjoyed it so much that he was keen to be more involved and learn how to operate a venue and manage events. At the end of 2019, an apprenticeship role became available at the Junction and Sam knew this was something he wanted to pursue.

Since starting on his apprenticeship in winter 2019, Sam has thoroughly enjoyed every single moment, managing events, liaising with artists and tour managers, organising their own festival and working with the amazing team on Box Office. In fact, Cambridge Junction feels like it has become Sam’s second home

Sam has found it particularly interesting to work during the COVID-19 pandemic as Cambridge Junction planned and hosted several socially distanced events, reviewed their venue policies to create a more inclusive workspace for members of our community, and planned for the future of the venue post-pandemic.
