Young people and the future of museums

This week we have been celebrating our apprentices across the country and their employers for National Apprenticeship Week 2022 - a week dedicated to showcasing the importance of apprenticeships and how they can support employers to grow their business whilst supporting individuals to launch their careers across a whole host of industries.

We’re delighted to be able to showcase two NCCI apprentices, Maya and Hawwa, and their own blog featuring young people and the future of museums.

Maya and Hawwa joined Manchester Museum in May 2021 as apprentice Cultural Learning and Participation Officers and they have embraced every moment of their apprenticeships. We caught up with them last week to give us an insight into their job and the skills you need to work in this sector.
